A hiker had to be rescued by forest rangers after suffering an injury while hiking at Kaaterskill Falls in New York Sunday.
According to New York Department of Environmental Conservation officials, rangers received a report of an injured hiker at Kaaterskill Falls on Sunday, March 2 at 2:10 p.m.

The 25-year-old hiker from Manhattan was with a friend hiking down to the middle pool area of Kaaterskill Falls.
While he was hiking down the icy stairs toward the lower falls, he slipped on the ice and landed on the shoulder. The slip occurred even though he was wearing microspikes.
At 3:30 p.m., two rangers reached the subject. The rangers provided care and assisted the hiker to Route 23A, where his friend picked him up. Resources were clear at 4:25 p.m.
