Skier Killed In Crash At Black Mountain

A skier was reportedly killed at Black Mountain in Jackson, New Hampshire Sunday after he went off trail and crashed.

The skier was identified as Eric Page, 39, of Bartlett, New Hampshire, according to the Jackson Police Department.

Police responded to the ski area at 5:51 p.m. on Sunday, April 20 after receiving a report that a skier had gone off a trail and was seriously injured.

The ski partrol had responded to the Upper Maple Slalom trail to aid the skier. The accident was reportedly near the summit.

The skier was found unresponsive with “significant injuries.”

Lifesaving measures were taken by the ski patrol and Bartlett Jackson Ambulance personnel, but those efforts were unsuccessful.

Police said there were no witnesses to the crash and the accident was reported by a passing skier.
