The bodies of two kayakers were discovered in a pond in East Providence, Rhode Island on Friday, July 5.
The two men were Joseph Fritz, 52, of East Providence, and Gregory Boerman, 37, of Allston, Massachusetts, according to the East Providence Police Department.
Police received a report on Friday morning that the two men had not returned after they went kayaking on a pond near Roger Williams Avenue late on the Fourth of July.
Police used drones to find the two bodies, which were both near two empty kayakers.
Police said the deaths do not appear suspicious.
