Wilmington, New York To Host Mountain Bike Festival August 29-31

The “mountain bike capital of the Adirondacks” will be the site of a three-day mountain bike festival at the end of August.

The Wilmington Mountain Bike Festival will take place in Wilmington, New York August 29 to 31, 2025.

This is the eighth year of the festival, which is a three-day celebration of bikes and community featuring on-site camping, live music, local food and beer, group rides for all abilities, shuttles, a kids mountain bike race, and more than 25 miles of beautiful Adirondack-style singletrack riding.

The event is hosted by and in support of Barkeater Trails Alliance, an organization that builds, maintains, and advocates for mountain biking and ski touring trail in the Greater High Peaks region of the Adirondacks. Proceeds from the festival go toward supporting the trails.

Wilmington is considered by many to be the “mountain biking capital of the Adirondacks.” The area is the hub of a large regional trail network that boasts over 85 miles of diverse singletrack in four communities.

Mountain bikers visiting the area will find diverse singletrack riding at two large trail networks — the Flume and Hardy Road — as well as a long, gnarly backcountry tour on the Cooper Kiln trail, and a dirt jump/pump track park at the festival site.

Added for this year’s festival will be group rides in Lake Placid and Keene.
