Skier Dies From Fall At Sugarbush Resort

A skier at Sugarbush Resort in Vermont died Saturday after suffering a fall.

Vermont State Police officials said they received a report that a skier had died following a fall at Sugarbush at 3:26 p.m. on Saturday, March 28.

The skier—whose identity has not yet been released—reportedly fell while on Stein’s Run at Sugarbush’s Lincoln Peak. Officials said an investigation showed the male victim fell and slid into a wooded area off the trail.

The skier was found unresponsive by ski patrol members, who brought him to the base of the mountain, where they were met by the Mad River Valley Ambulance. The victim was pronounced deceased due to his injuries.

Police said the death does not appear suspicious. An autopsy will be performed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Burlington to determine the cause of death.
