A new three-day rock climbing festival is coming to New Hampshire’s Mount Washington Valley this September.
The first-ever Mount Washington Valley Rock Fest will take place September 18 to 20, 2026.
The event is organized by the International Mountain Climbing School (IMCS) in North Conway, New Hampshire. IMCS also organizes the Mount Washington Valley Ice Fest, a popular four-day ice climbing festival that has been held in the area for more than 30 years.
Organizers said the new rock climbing festival will mirror the ice fest in many ways. The event will have climbing clinics for all abilities, affinity spaces, live music, presentations, workshops, demo gear, a stacked line up of guides, and more.

There will also be an outdoor bouldering competition—the Sundown Showdown—that will take place in the boulder fields at Sundown Ledge.
