A college student is missing after the canoe he was in capsized on a Connecticut lake Saturday night.
According to officials with the Connecticut Environmental Conservation Police, Dominick Tucci, a 20-year-old student at Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, is missing after the canoe he was in capsized on Lake Hayward in East Haddam, Connecticut on Saturday, March 21.
Tucci and another 20-year-old man were reportedly in the canoe when it capsized.
A resident near the lake reported hearing a call for help. The man in the canoe with Tucci was rescued by a person on a paddleboat. He was brought to shore, taken to a local hospital, and was reportedly later discharged from the hospital.
Police searched the lake Saturday night and into Sunday using search crews on the water, dive teams, and aerial surveillance. The search was suspended Sunday night, but was set to resume Monday.
