Organizers say the event is for surfers of all abilities, even first-timers. They said the event isn’t about being the best surfer in the lineup; it’s about catching waves together, meeting great folks, and kicking off the summer right.

The New England Longboard Classic takes place at Nantasket Beach, with the first wave kicking off at 9 a.m.

Registration is $40 prior to the day of the event, and $55 day of.

Besides surfing, the event includes an after party with food, giveaways, and live music. There will also be silent and live auctions to benefit local charities.
