New Hampshire’s outdoor culture will take center stage on June 10 with a special event that brings together the Granite State’s outdoor leaders, businesses, and organizations.
The Granite Outdoor Alliance (GOA)—a New Hampshire alliance of outdoor businesses—will host a New Hampshire Outdoor Industry Day event at The Barn on the Pemi in Plymouth, New Hampshire on Wednesday, June 10 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The “Barn Raiser” event aims to bring together businesses, nonprofits, public partners, and industry leaders from across New Hampshire’s outdoor economy.
Now in its second year, Outdoor Industry Day has become GOA’s signature statewide gathering—a celebration of the people, partnerships, and businesses helping shape the future of New Hampshire’s outdoor industry.

Presented by the New Hampshire Department of Business and Economic Affairs and the Office of Outdoor Recreation Industry Development, this year’s event will feature networking, remarks from BEA Commissioner Lucy Lange, release of GOA’s Grounded Growth industry direction work, a keynote from Erik Mogensen of Entabeni Systems, Black Mountain, and Indy Pass, the first Barn Raiser Awards, and the return of the Rock Walk Fashion Show.
Outdoor recreation continues to be a major economic force both nationally and in New Hampshire. According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, the outdoor recreation economy accounted for $1.3 trillion in U.S. gross national output nationally in 2024, representing 2.4 percent of national GDP.
In New Hampshire, the latest state data show outdoor recreation contributed $4.2 billion in value added, accounted for 3.5 percent of state GDP, and supported more than 33,000 jobs statewide in 2024.
The evening’s Rock Walk feature offers a particularly visual and interactive element, giving
attendees, media, and partners a chance to discover new products, launches, experiences, and
noteworthy brand engagement while moving through a red-carpet-style showcase in the
distinctive barn setting of The Barn on the Pemi.

“This year is about building on the momentum we’ve created,” said Tyler Ray, Director of
Granite Outdoor Alliance. “The Barn Raiser reflects the spirit of this industry: people showing
up, pitching in, and building something bigger than themselves. New Hampshire’s outdoor
businesses are creating jobs, driving innovation, supporting local economies, and helping define
the Granite State’s competitive advantage. This event is a chance to celebrate that work and
strengthen the relationships that will carry it forward.”
The event will also introduce the first Barn Raiser Awards, recognizing leadership, enterprise, connection, and workforce momentum across New Hampshire’s outdoor sector. Awards including the Mountain Mover Award, Outdoor Enterprise Award, Common Ground Award, and Work Forward Award are intended to lift up the people, organizations, and ideas helping move the industry forward—while reinforcing the values, partnerships, and shared responsibility that
help strengthen New Hampshire’s outdoor economy.
The event is designed to convene a broad cross-section of New Hampshire’s outdoor
community, including manufacturers, retailers, guides, recreation businesses, nonprofits, conservation leaders, economic development organizations, educators, service providers, and public-sector partners. It also highlights the growing role outdoor recreation and outdoor-related businesses play in tackling some of the state’s biggest challenges, including workforce attraction, public health, entrepreneurship, economic development, tourism, manufacturing, and quality of life across the Granite State.
