New York conservation officers recently helped rescue a deer that had fallen into a well.
According to officials with the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, environmental conservation officers were asked to assist local police with a deer that had fallen into a well in the town of Lewiston on Thursday, November 6.

The antlered deer reportedly fell into the 10-foot-deep dry well and became trapped.
A conservation officers along with a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, and the Niagara County Tech Rescue Team were able to hoist the deer from the well and release it safely without incident.
The well was covered as a preventative measure.
