The event, organized by Emgee Events, aims to provide new and existing backcountry participants with the knowledge they need to safely explore avalanche terrain, get answers to their questions from some of the region’s top backcountry experts, make connections with other backcountry skiers and riders, and check out some of the industry’s best gear.

In addition to presentations from backcountry experts, the night will give attendees the chance to demo gear, learn about accessible touring zones in New England, and find out about upcoming backcountry events.

The event also features live music, free (yes, free) drinks from Austin Street, Kit NA and Sierra Nevada, and an onsite food truck. It also features a raffle with some incredible backcountry prizes, including a Mammut Barryvox 2 avalanche safety package (beacon+shovel+probe); insulated jacket & hardshell pants; Jones splitboard; Spark R&D splitboard gear; AIARE course OR guided ski touring / splitboarding from Northeast Mountaineering; four free Killington lift tickets from Mammut; and prizes from Ski The Whites.

Tickets for the event are $28.52, and all proceeds from ticket sales and the raffle benefit Inclusive Ski Touring and Protect Our Winters, nonprofits dedicated to combating climate change and expanding access to ski touring and splitboarding.
