Hiking may be impacted along Avalanche Lake in New York during late July and early August because of trail work.
According to New York Department of Environmental Conservation officials, the Avalanche Pass Trail will have crews doing work on it from July 21 to August 1, and again from August 4 to 8.

During those days, officials said there may be times when access along Avalanche Lake is slightly delayed because of ladders and bridges being replaced.
Crews from the Student Conservation Association Adirondack Corps and the Adirondack Mountain Club will be doing the work.
In other recent trail news, the Armstrong Ladder in the High Peaks was replaced on Tuesday, July 8.
