If your idea of a fun day includes running, walking, scaling walls, running through tires, and probably getting a little wet and dirty, while also helping charities, then clear your schedule for next May.

The Wason Pond Wrangler (formerly known as the Wason Pond Pounder) is a 5K obstacle course event that will take place in Chester, New Hampshire on May 11, 2024.

The Wrangler is a family-friendly event that includes 10 or more obstacles on scenic trails around Wason Pond.

The founders and organizers of the original Wason Pond Pounder retired in 2022. New organizers Jessica Hatch and Andrew Wickson wanted to keep the tradition alive, mostly so the charitable beneficiaries would not be negatively impacted, so they are continuing the event under a slightly different name, with the encouragement and assistance of the former Pounder board.

The net proceeds from The Wason Pond Wrangler are awarded to local, verified nonprofits selected by board members.
