Skiers and snowboarders, welcome to Fenway Park.
The historic 103-year-old ballpark and home to baseball’s Boston Red Sox will host a skiing and snowboarding big air competition for the first time in its history next February.
According to an article on SportsBusinessDaily.com, Fenway Sports Management and the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association have agreed in principal to bring a big air snowboarding and freeskiing U.S. Grand Prix tour stop to Fenway on February 11 and 12.
The event will include a 100-foot-tall skiing and snowboarding ramp that will dwarf Fenway’s 37-foot-tall Green Monster.
