On the day President Barack Obama signed the order creating the new Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, Aislinn Sarnacki, a reporter with the Bangor Daily News, and photojournalist Gabor Degre explored the north end of the new park by mountain bike. The park is east of Baxter State Park. Here’s the video of their excursion.
