In a rescue that took roughly 10 hours and involved more than 40 people, a 20-year-old hiker from Connecticut was carried off Maine’s Mount Katahdin Wednesday after she fell and injured herself while descending the Hunt Trail, according to an article on BangorDailyNews.com.

The woman, who is from from Lakeville, Connecticut, was leading a group of hikers from a nearby camp when she fell and was injured almost 3 miles up the Hunt Trail at the base of the rocky “Hunt Spur.” She reportedly cut her leg badly when she fell at about 10:30 a.m.
