Construction To Impact Adirondack Mountain Reserve Hiker Parking Lot Next Week

Road work is expected to impact access to the Adirondack Mountain Reserve‘s (AMR) hiker parking lot in Keene, New York throughout next week.

According to New York Department of Environmental Conservation officials, road crews will be doing work at the intersection of Route 73 and Ausable Road beginning Monday, August 3. The work is expected to last through Friday, August 7.

Officials said traffic will be down to one lane in the area, and access to the southern entrance to Ausable Road and the AMR hiker parking lot will be closed.

Hikers can use the northern end of Ausable Road to access the lot.

Officials said parking at Roaring Brook Falls Trailhead may also be impacted by the construction.
