Anyone who loves skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing will be happy to hear that forecasters are predicting the Northeast will receive more snow than normal this winter.

According to AccuWeather.com, frequent storms are expected throughout the region bringing above-normal snowfall.

“I think the Northeast is going to see more than just a few, maybe several, systems in the course of the season,” AccuWeather Long-Range Forecaster Paul Pastelok said.

Forecasters also expect winter conditions to last into the early or middle part of spring and feature frequent snow storms.
