The 10th annual East Grand Adventure Race for both teens and adults in Danforth, Maine will be held this year on May 9.

The roughly 20-mile race features an off-trail compass run, a roughly 10-mile mountain bike ride over roads and wooded trails, and roughly 7 miles of paddling. Other surprise challenges along the way may include river crossings, mud crawls, tomahawk throwing, log rolling and two-person crosscut sawing.

Advanced entry into the race is $20 per person; day of the race entry is $30.

Organizers say $1,050 in prizes will be up for grabs.
