Several major Northeast ski resorts could soon be for sale, according to an article in the Maine Sun Journal.
A real estate investment trust that’s reportedly considering getting out of the ski resort business could sell more than a dozen ski resorts from Maine to California. Among the 16 ski resorts currently owned by CNL Lifestyle Properties are Maine’s Sunday River and Sugarloaf, New Hampshire’s Loon Mountain, Mount Sunapee and Bretton Woods, and Vermont’s Okemo Mountain.
However, some ski industry officials say that even if the resorts are sold, skiers and riders likely won’t notice any changes.
