Snowmobilers and ATV riders in Millinocket, Maine are eyeing a 3,000-acre site that they hope will become the state’s first ATV and snowmobile park.

According to an article on BangorDailyNews.com, the land is currently a landfill area. It is located between East Millinocket and Millinocket, with a sterling view of the entire region, and it’s far enough away from any neighborhood so that no one would be bothered by noise from the park’s ATVs and snowmobiles. It’s also accessible from Medway via a snowmobile trail.

The Northern Timber Cruisers ATV and Snowmobile Club is reportedly working with a local land manager to see whether an all-terrain-vehicle park could go on the property.
