Mountain bikers in western Massachusetts are battling to save mountain bike trails in the Holyoke Range that are threatened with closure.
According to a document posted on the New England Mountain Bike Association forum, the state Department of Conservation and Recreation has drafted a Resource Management Plan for the Holyoke Range that includes popular mountain biking areas such as the Notch Visitor Center in Hadley and nearby Mount Tom in Easthampton.
