An unusual animal that died at a Kennebunk, Maine home last week has been the subject of much speculation, with some believing it was a white wolf, others a hybrid dog and coyote.
But wildlife biologists have determined the animal was a rare white coyote, according to an article in the Portland Press Herald. The coyotes are extremely rare, and seem to be a relatively new phenomenon. Reports of them began surfacing in Newfoundland in 2003. (READ MORE)
