Members of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail have installed a new high water take-out at Permanent Rapids on the Saranac River outside of Bloomingdales, New York.
The take-out is further upstream from the rapids allowing an easier transition for paddlers during high water, or the opportunity to get out and scout conditions at the ordinary take-out.
In the video below, Noah Pollock, Regional Field Coordinator for the Northern Forest Canoe Trail explains the project.
