One of the most popular parking areas in the Adirondack High Peaks region is set to reopen Friday after being closed all summer.
Officials in the town of Keene, New York, say the Garden Parking Lot will reopen on Friday. The lot has been closed due to construction on the nearby Johns Brook Bridge.
During construction, hikers have been parking at nearby Marcy Field and taking a shuttle to the trailhead.
Keene officials say the shuttle will still run through the weekend to handle overflow parking. The cost for a shuttle ride is $10 per person round trip.
