WMTW.com: When most people go on vacation it’s to a warmer climate, but some people from all across the country are choosing to vacation in some of the world’s worst weather.
The Mount Washington Observatory is a nonprofit and is funded by its members. Each member has the opportunity to live on the summit for a week at a time, volunteering their time to cook for the crew and summit guests.
The volunteers come from across the country. Every Wednesday they hand over duties to the next volunteer.
